Gable House

A contemporary interpretation of traditional farmhouse vernacular, Gable House offers a contextual but modern response to its surroundings.

Two masonry gable structures are connected by a central spine that leads to the communal spaces at the rear of the property. Curated courtyard views are prioritised, enhanced by the muted, warm tones of the interior palette and subtle curves expressed through joinery. The outdoor loggia space is connected by the adjacent pool house, with direct access to kitchen and living areas. The single storey gable accommodates the master bed suite, while the double storey gable offers a retreat for the kids’ wing and rumpus.

Gable House is an example of the interplay between unique architectural vernaculars, reminding us that, when balanced well, this distinctive blending of worlds can offer something new.
